About Yogi Shivathyagi

A little boy born in to a pious family, to a mother, an ardent devotee of Bhagvan Krishna. The little one, having his childhood, besides luring devotional songs and hymns of Bhagvan Krishna, was mesmerized by the stories and extraordinary feats of child Krishna, and drawn in to an ascetic life at an early age.

As the boy grew up, his passion for spirituality also grew, which culminated into a reality. He too grew up as a deep devotee of Bhagvan Krishna. Shivathyagi is a frequent visitor of different ashrams in the length and breadth of India. During one of his travels he had the fortune to visit Shiva Yogini Amma known as Master Mystic's sacred samadi mandir at palakadu in Kerala.

The serene ashram is situated on a hilltop. While meditating at this place Shivathyagi went into trance state and was blessed by Shivayogini Amma. It was common experience of Shiva yogini Amma's disciples to be blessed by almost all Devas, appearing in their splendor, divinity and in full attires. Shiva Yogini Amma was a true manifestation of Lord Shiva.

On a Gurupoornima day, Shivathyagi had a beautiful dream it was as if a scene from a motion picture. The dream started on the river banks of Ganga. After Ganga snan Shivathyagi was sitting in meditative posture on the river banks, when all of a sudden a bright light started engulfing him and in the midst of the light was seen the blackish blue images of young Krishna and Devi dancing to the tune of an enchanting music, and between the dance Bhagvan chanted Taraka Brahma mantra in association with 3 mystic manthras to Shivathyagi, which was repeated 3 times and blessed him, after which the scene disappeared into the blue.

Blessed by the Lord and equipped with the manthras received directly from the Lord, Shivathyagi set forth for the enchanting, mystic land of Himalayas. He mastered Yogavidhya and Vedantha from Shivananda ashram at Rishikesh. From then onwards, he had the privilege to get into the learnings of the discreet, very valuable Kriya yoga, which was transferred to Arjuna by Bhagvan Krishna himself. The secret of Kriya yoga, which remained obscure for many centuries, was revived again for the benefits of modern age by Mahavtar Babaji, Lahiri Mahasaya, Swamy Yuktheshwar Giri, and lineage guru Sri Paramahansa Yogananda.

Yogi Shivathyagi mastered this divine secret to attain visions, intuitive powers and bliss. One fine day, during Solar eclipse time, Shivathyagi was in deep Kriya yoga meditation, when a heart throbbing vision started emerging in front of him, it was the deathless Guru Mahavthar Babaji, along with another monk of Indian origin, standing before and blessing him. During his stay in Bhadrinath, around 10 kilometers away, nearby the Vasudhara waterfalls, Babaji appeared again, this time directly before Shivathyagi, advising him on certain yogic matters to be followed.

To mention one more incident in Yogi Shivathyagis life which happened in Kasi. One fine sunny equinox day, early morning, while sitting in dhyana state in Kasi Viswanatha temple, Bhagvan Kasi Viswanatha, appeared in vision and blessed him saying " I will appear before you in a different form and name". During that day after visiting Sri Lahiri Mahasaya's ancestral home at Kasi, in the dhyana before going to bed Bhagvan Kashi Viswanath's words came true. He appeared in the form of Lahiri Mahasay and blessed Shivathyagi by touching in the Agna chakra.

On another occasion, Yogi Shivathyagi was blessed by Sri Yuktheshwar Giri, the beloved disciple of Sri Lahiri Mahasay. Yuktheshwar honoured Shivathyagi with a secret formula of a very particular bangle, being made out of a combination of Gold, Silver, Copper in a particular ratio, based on astrological predictions. This secret formulae was prompted by Sri Yuktheshwar Giri to Shivathyagi in direct parlance, that too in the vedic language of Sanskrit.

On one Guru poornima day, while in trance state, Shivathyagi was blessed by Lord Muruga, known as Subrahmanya, Karthikeya, the lord of the sacred hill of Palani in Tamilnadu. He was advised by Muruga to visit Palani hill and to go into meditation for 6 days. Accordingly Shivathyagi observed meditation for 6 days in Palani hill, when he had the strangest and most beautiful vision of his life. He could see Lord Muruga appearing before him in his full glory and gradually transforming into the features of Shivathyagi and finally again returning back to his old self as Lord Muruga. In this posture the lord blessed him with the secrets of Nava pashan, the valuable, priceless, medicinal potion out of which the sacred idol of Sri Muruga sanctified, in the sanctum sanctorum of maha kshetra of Palani is made of. Shivathyagi was then and there advised in certain yogic and spiritual secrets, which would take him to a much higher stateof spirituality in later stages of life.

With the blessings and instructions derived from Bhagvan Krishna and Guru Paramahansa Yogananda, Yogi Shivathyagi aquired spiritual powers by practising Kriya yoga along with the mystic manthras. Yogi Shivathyagi continues to pass on Kriya yoga initiation, manthra diksha and blessings to followers and mankind, for spiritual upliftment, peace and solutions to problems of humanity at large.
